Care Partners Only
This group welcomes spouses, adult children, and friends of those living with Dementia with Lewy Bodies “DLB”. Topics include a wide range of issues, raised by group participants.
- discussions cover the entire spectrum of DLB disease progression
Occasionally community professionals offer presentations on pertinent caregiving practices and resources. These twice/month meetings balance DLB education & exploration of daily strategies with support, rejuvenation, & inspiration for Care Partners. As airlines remind us: “It’s important to first put your mask on before helping others.”
Support Groups are being held via Zoom platform.
Early Conversations for “Care Partners“
Specifically offered for care partners of those who are in the process of diagnosis and/or early stages of DLB.
This Support Group is a good fit for you if:
- your loved one is in the process of diagnosis and it is most likely DLB
- you and your loved one have just received a diagnosis; what do we do now?
- you have been a care partner for a while and need to focus on issues that pertain only to early stage DLB
Support Groups are being held via Zoom platform.
“People with Lewy”
Just as care partners need moments set aside to speak frankly about “life with Lewy” from their perspective, so do those who are diagnosed with DLB.
This Support Group is a good fit for you if:
- you wonder if you may have DLB
- you have had a recent diagnosis of DLB
- you are in early stage of DLB (even if the diagnosis was several years ago, if you are still living fairly independently, this group is for you)
Meeting together with others who can absolutely relate to the experience of DLB can be liberating and strengthening.
Support Groups are being held via Zoom platform.
